I really enjoyed the parts watching them on the job and the visuals are nice some shots are what you perhaps expect from such a film where you think Michael Bay might be directing (e.g. The most fun you have in the film is seeing the camaraderie in the group and how it develops. In short, I would say it's an earnest film, it's patriotic and features a good dose of masculinity. The director is Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy, Oblivion). Bridges is the grizzled, veteran leader of the group and Teller is the new guy with a troubled life. It stars Josh Brolin and Miles Teller in the main roles and a supporting cast including Jennifer Connelly, Jeff Bridges and a small role for Andie MacDowell. It is based on a true story about a group of 20 wildland firefighters and not only shows us them doing their job, but also gives us an insight into the personal life of some of the characters. I watched the film and wasn't sure if I should post here about it, but since it bombed at the BO ($38m budget, $21m BO) I thought it can't hurt to give it some more exposure.
